# Order terms: deposit, delivery, warranty, returns

The price is fixed on the drawing you approve, a 50% deposit starts the work, delivery is in three weeks, and the other 50% is due once the lamp is installed and you have switched it on. These terms apply to every lamp order with Đèn Hạ Chí.

## Price

The price of your order is the one on the mock-up drawing you approve. Nothing is added later unless you change the configuration after approving it. Prices on the site and on drawings are before VAT. VAT is 8% until 31 December 2026; after that, invoices use the rate in force on the day they are issued. ## Payment

- **50% deposit** when you approve the drawing. Work starts the day the deposit arrives.
- **The remaining 50%** once the lamp is installed and you have switched it on yourself. For orders outside the city that we do not install, it is due once you have received the crate, opened it and checked the lamp.
- Payment by bank transfer. We issue an electronic invoice for each payment.

## Delivery time

Lamps are delivered three weeks after the deposit. If we are late for reasons on our side, the order is 5% cheaper for each week of delay, taken off the final payment. A new custom design has its own delivery date on the drawing, and the 5% per week runs from that date.

If you need to take delivery later (the renovation is not finished, the café is not ready), tell us; we hold the lamp at the workshop at no charge.

## Changing your mind and cancelling

- **Before Lâm Văn Lộc bends the frame:** you can cancel and get your whole deposit back, with nothing deducted. You can also change the configuration; Đặng Thu Hà redraws it and requotes.
- **After the frame is bent:** we keep the deposit, because the material has been cut and the work done for your room.

To find out whether your frame has been bent yet, just ask; our ledger records the day each frame was started.

## Returns

Each lamp is made to a drawing for your room, so we do not accept returns because you changed your mind. If a lamp has a fault in our workmanship (frame, shade, socket, wiring), we repair or remake it free of charge.

## Warranty

Frame and shade are covered for 24 months; bulbs and cable follow their manufacturers’ warranties. Every lamp comes with a spare bulb. Shades damaged by damp, bathrooms, outdoor use or wet cleaning are not covered, and raw brass darkening is a property of brass, not a fault. Details on [care and warranty](/en/care-and-warranty).

## Delivery and risk

In Ho Chi Minh City we deliver and install free once per order, and the lamp is our responsibility until it is installed. For other provinces we ship in a wooden crate with an illustrated guide, and quote shipping before you pay. Damage in transit is ours to fix: open the crate when it arrives, photograph any damage and send it to us straight away, and we repair or remake the lamp.
