Custom lamps made to order

When none of the six fits your room, we change the size, the material or the finish, or make a new design. The price and delivery date are on the drawing before we start.

Updated 4 Oct 2026

Most rooms suit one of the six items in the collection with its standard options. This page is for the rest: a ceiling that is very high, a table that is very long, or a shape you have long had in mind.

What can change

  • Size: a shade larger or smaller than the three standard sizes, or a Đông Chí bell taller than 60 cm. Lâm Văn Lộc cuts a new wooden jig for the frame, and Huỳnh Thị Mến makes a weaving mould to match.
  • Shade material: rattan, seagrass, dó paper or linen on a design that normally uses something else, say a Hạ Chí in tightly woven seagrass. Read about our materials first, because each one changes the light in its own way.
  • Frame finish: beyond raw brass, matte black and matte white, we can powder coat another colour, quoted once you choose it.
  • A new design: a lamp that is not in the collection, from your sketch, a photo, or just a description.

What stays the same: every lamp takes an E27 socket and a 2700K bulb, so you can replace it at any electrical shop. We do not make rattan, seagrass or paper lamps for bathrooms or outdoors, and we deliver within Vietnam only.

How a custom lamp is priced

It still starts with a light mock-up: send photos of the room, the ceiling height, the table size and a description of what you want changed. Đặng Thu Hà draws the lamp into your photo and adds a price. The first version is free, and revisions continue until you approve.

A change to an existing design is priced from that lamp’s standard price plus the difference in materials and labour. A new design is priced on the number of frames, any new jigs and moulds, the days of weaving and the materials. We do not quote a new design before the drawing exists, because until then nobody knows how many of Lộc’s half-days the frame will take.

The price on the drawing you approve is final, before VAT, with no extras. 50% deposit on approval, 50% after installation once you have switched the lamp on. Made-to-order lamps cannot be returned except for workshop faults; see our order terms.

How long it takes

A different size, material or finish on an existing design: three weeks from the deposit, like any order. A new design needs new jigs and usually a trial frame, so its delivery date is set on the drawing together with the price. If we deliver later than that date, the order is 5% cheaper for each week we are late.

We make about thirty lamps a month and take on no more. If you need lamps for a fixed date, such as an opening, tell us with the first mock-up request.

To talk it through, book a visit with photos of the room, read how the workshop works, or contact us.
