Rattan, dó paper and brass
Open rattan patterns the walls, dó paper gives soft even light, raw brass darkens over the years.

Rattan: an open weave that lets light out sideways
Our rattan shades are woven on wooden moulds and sealed against damp. Good for living rooms and hallways, not bathrooms. Care and 24-month warranty.

Dó paper: soft light that shows the fibres
Dó paper is made from the bark of the dó tree, strong and resistant to insects. We laminate two layers on brass for three of our lamps. Where to use it.

Brass: bent by hand, left to darken
Brass rod annealed with a torch and bent by hand on wooden jigs, about half a day per frame. Raw brass darkens with time; black and white cost the same.
