Send a room photo, get a light mock-up in 48 hours
Send a daytime and an evening photo with your ceiling height and table size; within 48 hours Đặng Thu Hà sends back the lamp drawn into your room, with its light, configuration and price. The first version is free.
Send your room photos
The worry with any lamp is finding out it is wrong once it is up: too big, too small, light that never reaches the table. A light mock-up lets you see that before we bend a single piece of brass. No order, no deposit.
What to photograph
Stand in the doorway, hold your phone at eye level and point it at the spot where the lamp will hang. Take two photos from the same place:
- One by day, so we see the ceiling, the walls, the furniture and the real colours.
- One in the evening, with your usual lights on. This one shows us where the room is dark now.
A third photo helps if you can: straight up at the ceiling outlet, so we know whether it sits above the table.
Add two numbers:
- Ceiling height, floor to ceiling, where the lamp will go.
- Table size, length by width, or the diameter of a round table. If there is no table (a hallway, a bedside), say so.
The form takes one to three photos in JPEG, PNG or HEIC, up to 8 MB each. Straight off the phone is fine; no editing needed. If you already like a lamp in the collection, pick it in the form. If not, leave it blank and Hà will suggest one.
Zalo works too, and is often quicker if that is how you message. Put the ceiling height and table size in the message.
What comes back within 48 hours
Đặng Thu Hà, who founded the workshop, draws every mock-up by hand. Within 48 hours of receiving your photos you get:
- The lamp drawn into your evening photo, at the right size and height, with its pool of light on the table and the pattern on the wall if the shade makes one.
- A second view, usually your daytime photo, so you can see the lamp switched off among your furniture.
- The configuration: lamp, shade size, frame finish, cable length, hanging height above the table, and whether you need an offset swag hook.
- The price, before and including 8% VAT, from our price list, with delivery and installation included if you live in Ho Chi Minh City.
The drawing is hand-built on your photo, not a photograph of a real lamp. The light is close to what you will get once it is fitted; after every installation Hà measures the light with a handheld lux meter, which keeps her drawings honest.
Revisions
The first version is rarely the last. A smaller shade, black instead of brass, 5 cm lower, a different lamp altogether: message us and Hà redraws it. As many rounds as it takes until you are happy, free of charge. At Thềm Chiều café the drawing went through two revisions before the owner approved it.
Once you approve, the price on the drawing is the price you pay. You pay a 50% deposit, we start, and the lamp arrives three weeks later. Details are in our order terms.
What happens to your photos
They are kept in the workshop’s private storage, never public and never behind a link anyone could open. Only the four of us see them. We do not publish a photo of your room anywhere unless we ask first and you agree in writing.
If you do not order, your photos and contact details are deleted after 12 months. Want them gone sooner? Send one line and we reply within 72 hours. The full detail is in our privacy policy.
Mondays
The workshop is closed on Mondays. A request that arrives on a Monday starts its 48 hours at 9:00 on Tuesday. You can still send on a Monday; the form and Zalo keep taking requests.
Questions about bulbs, hanging heights or low ceilings are answered on the FAQ page.
